Fascinated by war and convinced of a simple-shaped nationalistic ideology, five volunteer warriors from Europe and USA have left behind their former lives. Reaching Ukraine Ben, Alex, Craig, Charlie and Cowboy have made it to the frontlines and joined the far-right militia Pravyi Sektor, the Right Sector, supporting the Ukrainian army which is short of staff. Receiving no reward but shelter and food the foreigners' selfmade battlegroup named Task Force Pluto is a loose union of individuals and by no way a particularly Ukrainian phenomenon. This Boom Stick Brotherhood will move on to another conflict elsewhere on the globe once Ukraine becomes boring to them. They simply want to be involved in battle. That´s what they are aiming for. Living a dream of smoking guns, camaraderie and outdoor life. An extreme lifestyle devoted to constantly staring into the face of death.
The Boom Stick Brotherhood is a multi-national, multi-religious and multi-ethnic group:
BEN, an Austrian infantryman travelling hot zones for years. Bored by his own reluctant national army at home he gained plenty of experience in Kosovo, Syria, Iraq and Ukraine.
ALEX, Ben´s brother-in-arms from Austrian army times, deserted and fled the country to get ultimately involed in frontline fights.
CRAIG was fighting for almost 6 years for the US Army in Iraq and Afghanistan but afterwards got into conflict with the law. He escaped conviction by going abroad.
CHARLIE was totally bored by his Californian routine in Silicon Valley but failed to join both the US Army and the French Foreign Legion. Eventually he found his battle opportunities in Ukraine.
Petty crook COWBOY got into trouble with US law only days before his army unit was to be deployed to Afghanistan. Later, during a prison day release, he made off for France but the Foreign Legion rejected him. He gave Ukraine a go.
